My passion is helping people improve their health, treating the whole person using gentle and effective medicines and therapies.
Hello, I am Dr. Camille Koontz and I practice primary care naturopathic medicine at NCNM in Bellingham Washington. I am thrilled to be joining the Northwestern Clinic of Naturopathic Medicine! It is a dream come true to be practicing the kind of medicine that aligns with my holistic view of health and healing.
I trained at Bastyr University where I received my Naturopathic Medicine Doctorate, and before that I practiced hospital medicine as a Registered Nurse. I have been working in healthcare for 16 years and I bring a diverse approach to my practice, blending both the conventional model and traditional systems of medicine. Today’s patient is often juggling the treatment plans of many doctors, specialists, and therapists; it brings me joy to bring these pieces together into a cohesive plan that is both personal and solution focused for every patient.
The medicine I practice is gentle, effective, and the results are long lasting. Together my patients and I create individualized treatment plans that suit their goals, lifestyle, and most importantly their health concerns.
When I am not at the clinic, you might find me shopping at the farmer’s market or in my kitchen experimenting with nutritious whole foods. I also enjoy herb harvesting and medicine making for friends and family. I maintain my own health and wellbeing through practicing yoga, nutrition, time with nourishing friends, and jogging outside. My husband, Josh, and I enjoy our free time hiking, camping, dancing, playing with our chocolate lab Becca, and restoring our vintage sailboat.
